Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected
Yoyo makes it very easy to select tasks with shorter durations. Atlanter Hiya Yes but only to some degree: Cruncher - optimal golumb ruler ECM ECM P2 Siever M Queens PARI/GP as some sub-projects are not available anymore such as M Queens and Cruncher and the rest (as has been mentioned already) hav...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected
2. Regardless of #1 could we make a test sprint for yoyo so we make an evaluation how it goes for real? Hiya Actually there is no need to do a "test Sprint" as *anyone* can download some yoyo tasks whenever they want and they can then ascertain whether the members host machines are going ...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected
Its not just slow ARM processors, how about a AMD EPYC 9354P 32-Core Processor [Family 25 Model 17 Stepping 1] taking 26 DAYS https://www.rechenkraft.net/yoyo/workunit.php?wuid=81593820 Hiya Well, the stats on the yoyo project website says: CPU time (sec) 94,270.34 which is 26.186 HOURS , and not D...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected
Hi yoyo Thanks for your feedback. I do understand your position, but you need to recognise mine. I volunteered to take on this job as admin for both the forum and for the Sprints simply because a) Sebastien did not have the time and b) because there were so many "bad actors" on this forum ...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected
Sorry guys, Primegrid has also very long running tasks on CPU. I have some which runs for many days. It sounds that you just look for arbitrary reasons to exclude yoyo. I just require fairness between projects which are usable for sprints. Hi yoyo Speaking honestly, I have absolutely NO REASON to a...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected
yoyo had two sprints in 2023, I haven't looked back at the feedback from those sprints but I suspect there were moans about randomly long tasks. Long tasks aren't suitable for sprints eg if a task takes 25 hours you can only get 50 hours work out of a 72 hour sprint plus you lose the competitivenes...

Re: Sprints 2025 - timetable and projects selected
Hi Tamagoch Thanks for your message and some good information and suggestions there !! As far as the projects go, of course each project will set up their server(s) to suit their needs so it is very difficult to guess what the project admins are doing to both protect their systems from DDOS attacks ...
