Indeed...and I have no idea why anything has changed from that idea.
But given the points structure (emulating the F1 points system, where only the Top 10 positions earn points), so having 2 Leagues of maybe 13 teams in one and 14 teams in another...or even 3 Leagues each with 9 teams, perhaps does not lead to increased competition...?
Or maybe it does if everyone has an improved chance of earning FB points...
I guess it boils down to how the points are "earned" and if it is "too easy" to get points, so does that make the competition any better?
And whether there is enough motivation, knowing you have earned FB points against the other 26 teams...or whether it is better to have beaten fewer teams in a smaller league? There are arguments that could be made that both views could be correct?
At the end of the day, isn't it the idea of FB to motivate teams to crunch data for specific projects and to have some competition between teams...and that benefits the projects so they see an increase in uploaded data.
