POLL: Should the 2 FB Sprints go ahead in April?

Post by UBT - Timbo »

Hi all

A poll to gauge member opinions, concerning the 2 F1 races that have been cancelled as a result of the USA+Israel war with Iran.

Just vote as you see fit and we can consider if we want to go ahead with the Sprints that are due to take place 9th-12th and 16th-19th April.

This poll will end 1 week before the first date, as I'll need to give a warning to the randomly selected project admins *if* a Sprint will be going ahead.

Note: The poll rules
The votes cast are only an indication of member preferences and admin will have casting vote, esp if there is not an overwhelming majority, one way or the other.
Votes cast CANNOT be changed, so choose wisely.
The poll will remain hidden until the end of the OPEN period.

After voting to the poll I cannot see the results : is this normal ? we have to wait until the end ? Mmm.

On AF forum after voting one can see the (temporary) result.

Hi

Yes, the results of the poll are hidden until the end of the poll on 2nd April. 8-)

This is because I do not want anyone to be influenced by any other Members (or Teams) opinion and this way it is fair to everyone so that they vote based on their own personal choice. Of course if people want to post a comment about how they voted, that is up to to them. :)

The poll can be set to "open", or "hidden" using the admin control panel and it can also allow the poll to be open for a set time period, after which the results are displayed and cannot be changed.

Hi

I think you are confused. In fact you are VERY confused.

The title of the poll is VERY CLEAR:

POLL: Should the 2 FB Sprints go ahead in April?

and the text says:

Just vote as you see fit and we can consider if we want to go ahead with the Sprints that are due to take place 9th-12th and 16th-19th April.

To be clear (again):

Sprint #3 started earlier today. And the poll has NOTHING to do with Sprint #3 !!

The poll relates to the Sprints #4 and #5, which are due to take place on the weekends of 9th-12th April and 16th-19th April and these are the weekends when Formula One have CANCELLED the F1 races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

Hi all

The Poll has now closed and as you can see, there were 14 votes in total: 9 votes to continue with the plan to hold Sprints on the 2 weekends when the F1 races have been cancelled. Only 5 votes would prefer not to have these Sprints.

So, I'll go ahead and follow the usual routine to randomly choose the 2 projects and to make sure they have tasks available for the relevant dates.

And anyone who wants to take part, can do so, but if you want a break, then you can, as there'll be enough Sprints in the future, so you can earn some more FB points and maybe catch up.

regards and hope you all have a relaxing Easter holiday (if your faith supports this).
