UBT - Timbo wrote: Sun Jul 26, 2026 3:15 pmNO ONE makes available the END TIME of an F1 race - (as I only ever see the START TIME) - and the FB Sprint should finish (approximately) when the F1 race ENDS.
So, I have to work out the UTC time from the public information of the official START which is usually only given in the local time - and some times are in "Summer Time" or "Daylight Savings Time" when the clocks move backwards, compared to UTC !!
If I am wrong by an hour or two, then so be it...working out all 24 race start times in UTC is a PAIN !!!
oh, no... I didn't mean the time, only dates
I know that our sprints are starting a day before 1st Free Practice and are ending in the day of Grand Prix
but some sprints are scheduled to end a day after, like 27.09 for Azerbaijan or maybe its Formula1.com got messed up
sorry for that, in the morning there was more shifted dates or I was not fully awake and shifted months
I wouldn't worry too much about start and finish time -it's only for our reference, no one else is interested! So long as it starts on the right day and lasts about 4 days is all we're interested in!

Hiya
No problem - and YES - you were correct that I had input the WRONG date for the Azerbaijan Sprint.
(But it is annoying when some websites list scheduled dates which are time-corrected based on the timezone the viewer is in... )
That has now been fixed so many thanks for highlighting this to me.

Hiya Mike
Hope you are well?
I recall that one reason why the TIME of the Sprint matters is simply because many Teams and Members are based in lots of different world timeszones and so choosing the start/end TIMES to be the same on every Sprint could be seen as giving an advantage to specific teams in, say, Europe, if the start time was always 14:00 UTC.
So, linking the Sprint start/end time to the specific GP is a slightly fairer way to ensure that the Sprints are not seen to be favouring certain areas of the world !
